#Plant4Guate

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

Guatemala boasts one of the world's richest biological diversities, with forests playing a critical role in preserving this diversity. However, deforestation and forest degradation remain significant problems in the country. Illegal logging, expansion of agriculture and livestock farming, and construction of roads and hydroelectric dams are some of the primary drivers of forest loss in Guatemala.

Reforestation is a crucial activity for the planet's health and the survival of many plant and animal species. Our organization aims to raise awareness of the importance of reforestation and encourage different groups to participate in this vital task.

Deforestation is a global challenge, and the loss of thousands of hectares of forest every year has direct impacts on the planet's climate and biodiversity. Collaborative efforts are necessary to reverse this damage, and reforestation is an effective means to do so.

Through the #SembremosPorGuate project, Guatemala Escala seeks to contribute to the planet's well-being. The project aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds and activities to generate positive change. #SembremosPorGuate is a call to action for all Guatemalans to join in the task of reforesting and protecting the country's forests. We must work together to restore biodiversity and mitigate the impacts of climate change, and planting trees is an effective way to do so.
